Timeless Style with a Gold Watch for Women or Men
At DM Jewellery, we supply elegant, classic ladies’ and men’s gold watches, including an exquisite collection of Olympic PVD gold watches. Durable gold plated PVD on stainless steel, you’re sure to find exactly the piece you’re looking for with our diverse assortment of luxury watches.
Many of our watches also boast powerful water resistance, making these heirloom timepieces as durable as they are stunning. You won’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain or getting them wet while doing the dishes. Your watch will keep on working, even on the wettest winter days.
Expandable Straps
Several of our watches feature beautiful expandable straps. This means that they are easily slipped on and will stay comfortably in place once you are wearing them.
How To Wear a Gold Watch
While some worry that gold watches might seem excessively gauche or showy, many of them, especially modern varieties made with rose or yellow gold finishes, reflect subtlety, class and distinction.
Wearing them is easier than you might think. You can neatly pair them with a restrained, casual outfit. Monochrome looks, for instance, give you an excellent basis for helping your fantastic statement piece shine.
We also recommend choosing a watch that has a demure, sophisticated and elegant design. Such tasteful accessories work exceptionally well for most occasions, especially formal events such as parties, dinners and weddings.
Types Of Gold Watches
A watch doesn’t have to be made from pure gold to look like it is. There are several different methods for achieving a gleaming aureate look, including PVD coating and gold plating.
Here are some of the most common variants of gold watches available:
PVD Coating
‘PVD’ stands for ‘Physical Vapour Deposition’. The term refers to a vacuum coating process that produces a brilliant, decorative finish that is more durable than thin gold plating.
A chosen material – in this case, gold – is vaporised before it is deposited on the base of the watch. The two substances meld together, resulting in a more durable finish. PVD watches are thus more resistant to scratches and the corrosion caused by sweat and routine wear.
Gold Plating
On the other hand, gold plating involves placing a thin layer of real gold onto another metal such as stainless steel or titanium. This creates the look of real gold at a fraction of the cost. While gold plating offers a stunning golden appearance, it does not provide the durability PVD coating does. This means that if the watch gets scratched, the base material will show through.
Choosing PVD rather than gold plating means you’ll benefit from a longer lifetime, corrosion resistance and superior thickness.
Bi-Colour
As the name suggests, bi-colour watches feature a combination of solid gold and stainless steel or another material such as titanium. Some individual parts might be made from gold, while others will be made entirely of the alternate material.
Because of their gold components, bi-colour watches tend to be more expensive than gold-plated, PVD or pure stainless steel options.
Gold
There’s nothing quite like gold itself. Many watches look stunning cast in pure gold, whether they’re large, elaborate statement pieces or sleek, contemporary designs.
Nowadays, you’ll find many beautiful watches made from rose or white gold that are just as delightful as their traditional yellow gold counterparts. With so many variants in shade and hue, there’s a gold watch out there to suit any skin tone.
For thousands of years, gold has been a symbol of absolute luxury, wealth and elegance. Gold watches continue to embody a sleek, smart style that will take any outfit to the next level and imbue any wearer with confidence and belief. Whether you prefer something with a classic, timeless design or a bolder, modern piece, you can’t go wrong with a traditional gold watch.
You’ll find exquisite gold watches for both men and women from DM Jewellery. Our collections are excellent as day-to-day accessories and to brighten up your finest on formal evenings.
